The Low-Cost A/C Option Is Going Away In 2023
Beginning in January 2023 the Department of Energy (DOE) is changing the way HVAC standards are measured. The previous minimum standard, that included highly affordable 14 SEER HVAC units, will no longer be allowed to be sold or installed across the South.

What Does SEER 2 Mean for Me?
This new Regulation will affect newly installed HVAC Units. On January 1st, 2023, all new HVAC equipment installations including heat pumps, furnaces, and air conditioners will be required to meet new energy requirements set by the Federal Government.
After 2022, low cost 14 SEER units will no longer be allowed to be sold or installed throughout the South. This LAW will increase HVAC equipment prices by 25-40%.
