I don't know how to do marketing – what kind of help will I get?
Marketing is a critical part of any successful business, yet most business owners aren’t very good at it. The ones who are good marketers have a big advantage, including billyGO founder Billy Stevens. billyGO marketing support is based on Billy’s industry-changing marketing methods. You will receive thorough training to become expert in our systems.
What will my service area be?
We serve the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area, but we designed billyGO to keep you as close to home as possible, depending on the timing of service requests and customer locations. Our app considers several things when matching service requests with plumbers, and location is at the top of the list. We minimize travel time between jobs to the greatest extent possible. billyGO business owners have no territorial limits. They establish their own service areas based on their ability to provide the level of service people expect from billyGO.
How will I be evaluated?
Your evaluation will take several forms, including performance in classroom and on-the-job training, task performance, availability for work, ability to meet training and performance objectives, customer reviews, formal supervisor reviews and performance metrics built into billyGO software. Self-evaluation will be most important. We expect you to hold yourself to high standards.
Why do customers set the service call time?
It is a huge inconvenience for customers to block off half a day or more to wait at home for a service call. Everyone has busy schedules, and we decided “it’s about time” the home service industry recognizes that. Scheduling service with our app also is a big time saver, as it eliminates calling, waiting on hold, talking with a CSR to explain the problem (and taking the chance the CSR may not fully understand the request or will make a data entry error), and then hanging around the house wasting time. billyGO is leading the way to offer customers options that fit their needs. It’s plumbing by APPointment.
Are you serious – you don’t use phones?
We issue smart phones to our plumbers as a platform for the billyGO app that runs our business. By eliminating phone calls, we streamline the service process and save time for everyone. Our greater operating efficiency translates into better prices for customers and better pay for team members.
If you don’t have phones or radios, how does billyGO dispatch techs?
The billyGO app handles everything, including customer service requests, matching techs with customers, providing maps and routing information, developing proposals, securing customer approvals, issuing invoices and processing payments. You don’t have to wait for a dispatcher to get around to you; the app handles dispatching in seconds.
How do I get my truck restocked?
You’re going to love this! You won’t have to drive to a warehouse miles from home to restock. You’ll have your own mini-warehouse near where you live. The billyGO logistics team will deliver parts to your own mini-warehouse for you to restock your truck. If you need parts and products not truck-stocked we will deliver them to you while you’re at the customer location. You will spend your time plumbing as much as possible and driving as little as possible.
Will I be expected to sell?
Our approach is to provide an objective diagnosis of each customer’s plumbing problem and explain recommended solutions. That may or may not involve purchase of new equipment. When replacement is the better choice, that is what we recommend. If repair makes more sense, we say so. When replacement is the best option you must have solid product knowledge and be able to help the customer understand the pros and cons. We present the facts and let customers decide.
What kind of benefits does billyGO offer?
As a billyGO team member you will have an excellent benefits package, including health, life and disability insurance, 401K with billyGO matching, paid holidays and vacation days. Don’t forget, the biggest benefit of all is a clear path to ownership of your own plumbing business.
When and how do I get paid?
We pay on the 1st and 15th of each month by direct deposit.
Do I need to have a plumber’s license?
To be a billyGO plumber you must be licensed by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners as a tradesman, journeyman or master plumber. If you have no experience, but wish to become a plumber’s apprentice, you must be registered as a Texas plumber’s apprentice through a sponsoring plumber.
